Oh What A Week!

What a week it has been around here. Last Thursday night Hayden threw up and was running a fever so I took him to the doctor Friday morning....flu. Saturday afternoon Kayla came home from spending the night with a friend with a fever and complaining of her stomach hurting and her throat hurting.....took her to the doctor Sunday....flu. Monday morning I got a phone call from my husband, Ken that he was in the emergency room hooked up to oxygen and they had given him medicine to slow his heartrate down....it had reached 240...and he drove himself to the emergency room....if he hadn't gotten there when he did he would have had a heart attack...he is 35 people and otherwise perfectly healthy! So, they admitted Ken overnight...he was eating lunch when all of the sudden he looked at me and said "it is happening again"....his heartrate got up to 271 that time and they had to give him 2 vials of medicine to get it to normal. They immediately took him to ICU where he stayed overnight and they got him on a medicine to stabilize his heart from here on out. He was also running a fever....tested him....yep flu! Absolute scariest moment of my life was watching my big strong husband who never complains of anything frantically asking the nurses and doctor to do something more for him...it was awful and with my cellphone in hand I texted out a text asking everyone I knew for urgent prayer. I could have easily lost my husband that day. Ken was released from ICU Tuesday afternoon with follow up visits this Friday and next Thursday. His heart has been ok but he has been pretty miserable from the flu. This morning I woke up to him telling me someone broke into his truck and stole his hunting jacket, mask, gloves and duck calls....seriously...why would someone want that stuff??!! One of his gloves was laying on the ground in the front yard. So, when it rains around here it pours and I am praying for a better weekend....I don't know how much more I can take. I have somehow managed to avoid the flu and am ok except for some serious stress!
