Busy Busy May

Wow, May is always such a busy month with end of the year festivities for school and church.  Hayden's last day of MDO was May 10th and I just realized I didn't take his picture:(  The children's spring performance at church was May 15th.  Hayden opted not to participate since he cried on stage during his Christmas performance.  He says he is "scared of the big stage".  Here is Kayla performing her heart out.  She isn't scared of the stage at all!  

On Tuesday, May 17th Kayla had her spring performance at school.  It was all about Dr. Seuss's life and the different books he has written.

Kayla's last soccer game was also on Tuesday May 17th. 

Her official last soccer game of the season was Saturday, May 21st but we had more important plans.  My step-sister Courtney's wedding!

Let me back track one day for field day- May 20th.  Field day is nothing like when I was in school.  Now there are no actual races or much of a competition for anything and no ribbons:(

Ugh...a smudge of sunscreen got on my camera and I didn't realize it until I got home.

After field day the 2nd graders played a game of kickball against the teachers.

On Thursday, May 19th Hayden had his last soccer game of the season.

After Courtney's wedding (above) we headed to the lake house for the rest of the weekend.  It was finely (barely) warm enough for the kids to swim and tube!

 On Tuesday, May 24th the 2nd graders went to the skate castle for an end of the year party.

 Kayla's soccer party was also that night at Chick-fil-A.

 On Wednesday, May 25th the 2nd graders went to the Botanical Gardens for a field trip and I actually got to tag along without Hayden.  That sounds bad but sometimes it is just hard to drag him along and he gets SO bored!

 Today, May 27th is Kayla's last day of school...well offically the last day is Tuesday but we are staying at the lake:)
