The first picture was taken in April 2009- I was around 200lbs...this was after I originally lost 40lbs from dieting and doing the couch to 5k the first time and then dealt tendonitis in my hip flexor and couldn't run for 9 months and gained all the weight back! So, I did the couch to 5k again and once again and now here it is 3 years later:) I weigh 149 in the 2nd picture...oh and the first picture I am about a size 16 and the 2nd picture the skirt is a size 6!

Keep Calm...
My 2nd half marathon is in a week and a half...on Sunday, Feb. 12. Am I ready, I sure hope so! Training for this has been a great reminder to keep up with your measurements more than your weight. I haven't really lost any weight..I weigh 149 but I have lost 1 1/2 inches in my "stomach" at my belly button....the hardest part for me to lose:)

I post a lot on Facebook about my workouts of the day, motivational pictures and statements, etc. People get so easy offended by some of my comments about no excuses for not working out and how 3 lb weights aren't going to do anything to change your body. Hmm....maybe it is a sign to get off your lazy tail and do something if you don't like my comments...ok...rant over:)

Comparisons
June 2011-January 2012
I thought with it being a new year and all that it was time for a comparison. I haven't done one since June. That is me in June on the left and me today on the right. I am SO pale, lol! I might see a slight difference in these pictures but not much...I swear this is why I stay frustrated as I have said a million times! I want a BIG difference. I exercise 6 days a week I should see a difference~:( I am the same weight in both of these pictures.
I thought I would throw in some comparison's from where I originally started my journey:)
December 07-May 08-March 11-Jan 12
This has definitely been a marathon...not a sprint!
That stupid flabby stomach just won't go away...I hate the "hang"! From Dec 07- now is a 57 pound difference. From 207-150lbs...for a short period of time I got down to 147 over the summer but it didn't last but maybe a few days. I stay right at 150-152...my weight fluctuates daily...which is VERY normal. I just say I have lost 60 pounds because it sounds better than 57, lol and it is pretty close to 60!
I haven't lost any pounds since June- I am the same. I have however lost a few inches. I would like to get to the 130's as my ultimate goal but we shall see. I have my 2nd half marathon Feb.12th...wish me luck:)

She did it!
Today was a BIG day at our house. Kayla ran her first 5k this afternoon. We have been training for it since August and she did fabulous! She had to stop once at about the 1/2 mile mark to adjust her sock that slid down her heel but other than that she never walked. It was raining for the first part of the race but we weren't letting that stop us. She has trained too hard! She finished in 34:40 and then decided to run the 1 mile fun run and finished in 9:13:) She didn't want me to run it with her so I let her run it alone. She LOVED running today and I think we might just have a runner on our hands. Having a running buddy is fun:)

Food
I have a love/hate relationship with food. I've gotten SO off track with my eating...it happened slowly and now I just can't seem to get back on track! I'm up like 2 pounds on the scale and it makes me absolutely sick and I feel like a big fat cow! I've been in that cycle where you overeat and get mad at yourself so you eat something else bad for you to feel better...yeah...that really works! I don't overeat at one time. I don't eat big meals. I snack...all...day....long...and it isn't healthy snacks. Confession time...I ate THREE packs of pb crackers for breakfast...THREE of them...what in the world??!! They have absolutely NO nutritional value so of course I was still starving after every single pack. I'm down, discouraged, depressed,...ugh...I have GOT to snap out of this or the number on the scale is going to creep WAY up and I'm going to hate myself for it!
